Dear Parents,
I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. We will be saying good-bye for Christmas break in a matter of minutes!
At Sacred Heart Catholic School, we believe that "every student is valued for his/her unique gifts and talents." We have 119 students at our school with 119 unique personalities, all with many gifts and talents. My favorite part of the day is lunch when I get to talk to every student. Thank you all so much for sharing your unique, amazing students with us.
Bad Weather
As Mrs. Carla said in her email on Saturday, we follow the lead of Farmington Municipal Schools for delays and closures due to bad weather. As soon as we are notified of a delay or closure, that information will be posted on our Instagram page and our Facebook page. We will also text parents. If we have a delay,
we will not
have before school care, but
we will
have after school care.
Works of Mercy Donations
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Works of Mercy donations and deliveries. All three places were overwhelmed with the generosity of our school. Father Tim was so impressed with what our school collected that he wanted the church to participate, too; he gave $100 to each organization! Special thanks to Ashley Maxwell for her wonderful idea. Our spring project is already being planned.
8th Grade Pizza Sale Monday
The 8th graders will be selling pizza by the slice tomorrow, Monday, November 27. Each slice is $2.00. Every student who purchases pizza will also get a drink and a cookie. The proceeds of the pizza sale will go to the 8th graders' Legacy Project.
Festival of Trees
Please make plans to attend the Festival of Trees so you can see the beautiful Mother Teresa tree that Alyssa Chavez has created, and all of the gifts donated by our staff to go along with our tree. The tree is beautiful! Our choir will be performing at Festival of Trees on

November Confessions

Native American Heritage Recognition Lunch - Exciting New Information
Everyone is invited to lunch on Wednesday, November 29 in recognition of Native American Heritage Month. Hot lunch for guests is $5.00. Posole, cornbread, vegetables, and fruit will be served. If you would like lunch, let the office know by the end of the day on Monday, November 27. Right before the Thanksgiving break, Mrs. Tso, our Pre-school teacher, taught the 5th graders how to make fry bread, so they will be selling it for $1.00. Mr. and Mrs. Idzerda, along with the 5th graders will also be selling
Navajo Tacos, too! They are $8.00 each and all proceeds from the Navajo Taco sale, as well as the Fry bread sale, will go to help pay the entry fees for our Robotics teams who will be competing before Christmas.
